Agile Wallaby, River Wallaby - Marnangarr (young male) Merlppe (young female) Macropus Agilis
The flesh is cooked in a ground oven, and the fur is burnt off over flames prior to cooking. The local common name “River Wallaby” refers to the preferred habitat of Nakorlk, these small wallabies often occur in large groups and are quite common. They have a pale stripe on the side of their face and on the hip. In the past they were hunted with spears and throwing sticks, in recent time shotguns have been used to hurt them.

Short-Necked (freshwater) Turtle - Wirni, Emydura Victoriae, Emydura
Tanybaraga - Pamterk.
The flesh is cooked and eaten in the same way as other turtles. They are generally caught while fishing with a hand line using bait and hooks. They can also be caught be feeling around in the water and mud and pulling them out with your hands. These turtles have a red or yellow stripe on their face.
